What does P3 do?
P3 allows brokers, consultants and companies determine if the current PBM contract terms in place are competitive or if other PBMs could provide more competitive terms.
How does P3 determine if my pharmacy plan is competitive?
P3 does two things.
- One, by providing the terms of the current PBM contract and claims data, P3 compare the terms that the PBM is supposed to provide and to the terms that your PBM is actually providing. This way you know if you are getting the terms the PBM promised or if the PBM is underperforming.
- Second, P3 reprices every claim against the terms of leading PBMs so that you can see if switching to a new PBM could save you money.
